چکیده
Figure 1: [A] Scattering intensity as a function of scattering angle for the 20 base-pair double-labeled (blue), single-labeled (red, magenta; indistinguishable), and unlabeled (cyan) DNA duplexes. The intensity of the double-labeled sample has been scaled by a factor of 1/2 to aid visual comparison. The pattern of scattering interference between the two nanocrystal labels (black) is obtained by summing the intensities of the double-labeled and unlabeled samples, then subtracting the intensities of the two single-labeled samples. [B] Transformation of the nanocrystal scattering interference pattern into a weighted sum of sinusoidal basis functions (corresponding to different interprobe distances) yields the probability distribution for nanocrystal center-of-mass separation. متن کاملA Molecular Ruler for Measuring Quantitative Distance Distributions
We report a novel molecular ruler for measurement of distances and distance distributions with accurate external calibration. Using solution X-ray scattering we determine the scattering interference between two gold nanocrystal probes attached site-specifically to a macromolecule of interest. Fourier transformation of the interference pattern provides a model-independent probability distributio...
متن کاملSolution structure of the Z-DNA binding domain of PKR-like protein kinase from Carassius auratus and quantitative analyses of the intermediate complex during B–Z transition
Z-DNA binding proteins (ZBPs) play important roles in RNA editing, innate immune response and viral infection. Structural and biophysical studies show that ZBPs initially form an intermediate complex with B-DNA for B-Z conversion. However, a comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of Z-DNA binding and B-Z transition is still lacking, due to the absence of structural information on the inte...
متن کاملPopulation genetic studies of Liza aurata using D-Loop sequencing in the southeast and southwest coasts of the Caspian Sea
Genetic diversity as an important marker of the ecological status of aquatic ecosystems is considered a unique and powerful tool to evaluate biological communities. In order to evaluate the genetic diversity among golden mullet species (Liza aurata) in the southeast and southwest coasts of the Caspian Sea by D-Loop gene sequencing, a total of 23 fin specimens of golden mullet were collected fro...
متن کاملAdenine molecule interacting with golden nanocluster: A dispersion corrected DFT study
The interaction between nanoparticles and biomolecules such as protein andDNA is one of the major instructions of nanobiotechnology research. In this study,we have explored the interaction of adenine nucleic base with a representativegolden cluster (Au13) by using dispersion corrected density functional theory(DFT-D3) within GGA-PBE model of theory. Various active sites ...
